xXSamurai Giggle FingersXx

The antics of Smack continue, this time dealing with an insanely TOO friendly roommate during a classic battle of Ruler Samurai. Let's see what happens, shall we?

More of "The Smack Chronicles" to come. I promise...

xX5000 OnesXx

And that is what results in my design for Big Sean's mixtape Finally Famous. Didn't make the front cover but this is just as good to me. Go check dude out and download that mixtape over at

xXRoc Boys In The Building Tonite!Xx

This is a mixtape cover. Whose mixtape cover, do you ask? Well it will be the featured cover to the artist Big Sean's new mixtape "Finally Famous." Big Sean? Never heard of him? Well he's been recently signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D (Getting Out Our Dreams) record label. How did I get the chance to do his cover? Well, it started with this...

A promo that I did for a party for a well known club in Detroit called Club Bleu. I had worked with one of the people hosting the party before so he had called me up and asked if I wanted to draw up a couple characters based on the people responsible for the party. Big Sean happened to be one of them, along with artists Big Shan, Young Lex, Ill Street Blues, and P.L. Punchlines who all were on the song they made EXCLUSIVELY for the party (A theme song for a party? Crazy right?). So yeah, that's how I got to do this project for the guy and I'm glad I was able to do it. I was also able to do this design that will be on …

xXThe Fireman ComethXx

I swear it take a beautiful girl to get me out of a drawing decline. Expanding from last year's "Britt vs. Superman" saga, I once again put up my drawing chops for Britt's birthday. This time expanding on her love for Lil' Wayne. A love that I have yet to comprehend but ah well, she's my friend so whatever. Hopefully this will get me start drawing more...

With that said, here's a few more stuff I was able to get done in the past few weeks...

(This is actually a test comic for that project I mentioned before with my friend Brandon Howard).

It's been too long. School is starting back up and this has been one of my most laziest summers. I blame myself for not getting up and pushing that pencil hard. But I did manage to get some art out somehow...someway...

My first crack at making a pixel'd character. It was so damn hard but still a learning experience.

...oh and look, a new comic.

I'm starting to finally work on more stuff though. Got an album cover design, a tattoo for a friend, and still working on the project between me and my homie Brandon Howard that are still in the works. Look out for them.

Until then...

xXMore Animated Than, Say A, Busta RhymesXx

Well, the artistic dry spell is almost over (thank you "VenomSmack") but I'm seeking new a opportunity, mainly those dealing with a more..."animated' approach to things. Yes, after constantly watching more animation (The Iron Giant is still THAT deal) nowadays I've become intrigued to convert my works into animation. This and constant pleas to do so by one of the heads who run the Illustration department at CCS have put the thought of doing so in my brain.

But how can I do this? I can select Animation as my minor until I head back to CCS and that's not until August, and my impatient self wants to get it cracking right now. So my first step is looking into doing a little something on Flash for now. But that's another thing: I only did a few things in flash like the (deceased) website (damn, I miss that masterpiece) and...yeah that's about it. So as you can see I'm feeling like a n00b playing his first ever round of Halo (and I should know that.…

xXSpeed DemonXx

What's really good, people? You wanna know what's really good? Finally receiving your license is what's really good in life. Si, amigo - after a couple of misses and losses I finally acquired this magical acceptance into the driving world. Now I just have to worry about finding a car that actually runs.

Anyways, recently the site that my friend Brittany and I were working on finally became functional. You can see for yourself here: I for one think it turned out very fresh. I'm really feeling this tag teaming of my artistic skills and Brittany's amazing web-tistic craftiness. I can't wait to do more with her in the future (no sucking up).

And as always, I can't leave you without some new art. I was feeling very Spider-Man influenced so that would explain these two pieces. The first was originally as a birthday gift for a friend and the second was me being very bored while trying to get out of a art funk.

"Oh, My Spider-Sense Is Tingling..."

"...If you know what I mean."
- Eddie Brock Jr/Venom - Spider-Man 3Before I go on to post up some of the work that I've done since being freed from my Sophomore year at CCS (College for Creative Studies), allow me to let you in on my insight of what I thought would be the greatest movie ever. Yes folks, I'm talking about Spider-Man 3. A movie that seemed to have the perfect formula for the "Greatest Movie Ever" catalog. Let's go down the list...
Spider-Man (of course) - CheckHarry Osborn claiming his Green Goblin throne - CheckThe Sandman as one of the main villains - CheckThe introduction to the alien symbiote - CheckThe even more incredible introduction of Venom - Double CheckSo why did this movie not live up to its standards? That's just it. The many things that it had going for it was its downfall. For me, as a Spidey fan, it seemed like director Sam Raimi packed too much into one movie. If it were up to me, Part 3 would've been all of Sandman…

xXSmack's Special Final Exam Release TherapyXx

As much stress and disdain creeps into my emotional side during this two weeks full of finishing murals, portraits, essays, and getting my portfolio prepared for reviews, I decided to take time out of my day to experiment with the Wacom Tablet for two reasons:
A) I wanted to try my hand at painting digitally (even though I'm very much lame with traditional painting)
B) The stress kept burrowing through my skull so I NEEDED some artistic alone time.

So here's what this experimental stress reliever has produced so far:

More experimental Wacom Tablet piffness sure to come. Stay tuned, True Believer!

The Britt Versus Superman Saga

This five part comic strip was originally created because of an old little comic I did of a joke between my friend Brittany and I about her beating the crap out of comic book legend Superman. I planned this five-parter to be all one massive birthday present for Britt (even though it took me much longer to complete apparently).
To start it off, here is a comic I did earlier that sort of hinted toward the battle that would go on later...

And here is the actual saga. Enjoy...

More comics/art to come!

Blog? We don't need no stinkin' blog!

Well since I'm new to this blog gig I would like to thank you for dropping by. I will mostly be using this blog as another way to put my arts out there in the world. As a sample of what I've been doing, here's some art that I've completed recently:

"The Stand Out" Album Cover

"Scion XB Concept Design Project"

This is just a sample of the artwork that I have. You can check out others over at my page on (
